Yesterday, the pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6 listened to and participated in an inspirational road safety assembly. It was so inspirational due to the nature of the workshop. The children were introduced to a quiz/game show where they had to participate and discuss answers in relation to different aspects of safety. These included: safe clothing, crossing the road safely and reasons why cycling helmets are worn.
Groups of children came up and answered the questions posed. At the end Year 5 were held back and quizzed about what they had learnt and what could be improved. From wandering around the classs yesterday, I know the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and thy talked fervently about what they had learnt.
