Netball result - by Charlotte and Zeynap

On Tuesday 22nd March, Kingswood played a competitive match against The Willows. In the first minute Charlotte scored a fabulous goal putting Kingswood ahead. Unfortunately, Willows scored four goals. In the second rotation, Stevie scored an amazing goal and Georgia scored 2 epic goals within the third rotation. They scored another disappointing goal putting The willows in the lead. The fourth rotation started well when Charlotte scored 3 phenomenal goals.  Kingswood conceded a goal. Luckily, Millie scored 2 marvelous goals in the fifth part of the game. Willows, scored one goal. In the final section of the game Taro scored 2 fab goals. Following Taro's goals, Zeynap scored the winning goal, making it a win for us. Overall, the score was 13-10 to Kingswood. 3 people couldn't play, so we would like to thank Millie and Georgia for stepping in at last minute. Everyone who played got at least 1 goal and participated in Kingswood's win.

Netball result - written by Charlotte, Ria and Zeynap

On Tuesday 15th March 2016 Kingswood played NoakBridge at Netball. We were at home; first of all Tara scored 2 phenomenal goals in the first rotation of the game. Not long after, Tomi scored a mesmerizing goal. Within the next rotation, Millie and Sian scored 2 magnificent goals. Unfortunately, Kingswood conceded 2 unlucky goals. Ria had several attempts throughout the game but were all unlucky misses. Fortunately, Georgia made up for one of those goals that NoakBridge scored. Overall, many people scored and participated in the match and we ended victorious, we won 10-2. Well done to everyone who took part.

Kingswood Badge Winners

More pupils were awarded their Kingswood badges this week. Once again, we give these to pupils who 'choose the right attitude' everyday. They come into school smiling and giving every effort to the work set in class. I am so proud of all of the pupils who have been awarded a badge and can't wait to shake the hand of the first pupil who is awarded 2 badges. There is no limit to the number of Kingswood badges someone can win before they leave our school.

Bikeability awards

Congratulations to all the Year 6 pupils who took part in the Bikeability lessons this week. The children behaved impeccably and were awarded their badges in assembly today! It is a challenging week in the sense that the children progress from riding on the playground to riding on the roads around Sparrows Herne. Well done to everyone!

Well done to all the pupils who participated in the cross country competition today. We had some exceptional individual and team performances; a special mention to Year 6 boys who were excellent and also to Daniel who came first in his race. There were approximately 70 competitors in each girls and boys race today.

Kelvedon St Mary's School Visit - Wednesday 9th March

We were visited by Kelvedon St Mary's Primary School today. Children from Years 3, 4 and 5 came over and took part in lessons and lunch with the pupils from our school. Last year, we held a similar visit and the children gained so much from learning with and from each other. We will be reciprocating the visit next week and heading to Kelvedon to see how their school runs and participate in lessons and activities.
