Badge winners

Congratulations to all the pupils who were the first badge winners in the school. We awarded the badges for 'choosing the right attitude' and these pupils were chosen because everyday they attend school with a superb mindset. I am so proud of all of them and look forward to seeing more winners in the future!

Year 5 classroom pods

Over the half term, Year 5 had some learning pods installed. These multi-coloured areas allow the children to work both collaboratively and independently and are a fantastic space for the children to learn. The feedback we have had from the pupils has been very positive and you can see photos of the pods and walls in action.

Footbridge being resurfaced

Some parents/carers may be aware that the footbridge was resurfaced during the half term. I would personally like to say thank you to Basildon Town council for agreeing to make this safer for you and your children and also to our governor Mr Phil Rutter who, through his hard work, ensured this happened. Please could I ask that the bridge is used regularly as it is the safest way to cross Clay Hill Road!

Fish Philosophy

Yesterday, Monday 22nd February, all staff had INSET on Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Radicalisation training. In the afternoon we discussed the Fish Philosophy. This philosophy we will be adopting in school and rewarding pupils who 'choose the right attitude.' We will give out 1 Kingswood badge each week in every class for the pupil to wear and keep to say thank you for 'choosing the right attitude.'I have attached the video we watched as a staff that introduces the concept.
