The pupils swam amazingly today at the Basildon Swimming Gala, achieving many golds, silvers and bronzes. Many congratulations to everyone who participated. The results are now on the Sports Reports page of the website.

Samuel's visit to Scotland Yard
Samuel was fortunate to visit Scotland Yard at the weekend. He wandered around this amazing building, looking at how it operates and meeting many police officers. He even sat in the Prime Ministers car!!

Badminton bronze medalists
Congratulations to the squad who achieved third place at Basildon schools badminton competition today. Effort and teamwork was the order of the day. Well done to everyone who played!
Year 4 teeth creations
In science, Year 4 have been learning about teeth and their functions. They made models of different animals' mouths with accurate representations of their teeth!

Year 3 - Stone Age Day
Year 3 have been busy today learning about the Stone Age. Portals of the Past came into school and taught the children all about life in the stone age. It was great to see so many of the pupils dressed in stone age costumes ready to go and explore and scavenge on the wide plains of our field.
Nursery Rhyme Day - Nursery
A busy day has been had in Nursery today with the children dressed as characters from Nursery rhymes. The children have sung some of the rhymes and had a great day!

Reception - Hand washing
Yesterday (Tuesday 5th January), the nurse visited our Reception children to teach them how to wash their hands properly. As you can see from the picture, a busy time was had by everyone.

Stuart Elmes assembly
Stuart came in to deliver assembly today. He thanked all your children for the wonderful Christmas shoeboxes and showed amazing pictures of the Romanian children who received the gifts. These will be on the website when he emails them over.
