Thank you to all the parents/carers who were able to attend our Harvest celebrations this week. Both events were wonderful. I would also like to thank everyone for contributing so many amazing gifts to the shoe boxes that will be taken to Romania by Stuart Elmes from Kingswood Baptist Church. Your generosity is amazing. Have a lovely half term and we will see you on Monday 2nd November.

KS1 Halloween Disco
The Key Stage 1 Halloween disco was a huge success. The children had a great time dancing away and they looked fantastic in their costumes. Many thanks to the PTA for organising this event and giving up their time for your children. They had an amazing time as the noise in the hall exemplified. It is up to Key Stage 2 next week as there discos are on Tuesday night. Year 3 & 4 is from 3.30 - 4.45 and Year 5 & 6 is from 5.15 - 6.45. Tickets on sale in the hall at break times.

Key Stage 1 Halloween Disco
Reception children will be having their disco in class from 2:30pm to 3:15pm, and we would kindly ask that a donation of £1 is made.
Children in years 1 and 2 will have their disco from 3:30pm to 4:45pm at a cost of £2. Please come to the main school office to collect your children after the disco from the KS1 Hall.
To pay for the disco, please send the money into the school office in an envelope with your child's name and class. Sadly we are not accepting payment through Parent Pay for the disco, as it is an event run by the PTA.

Class Dojos
We are receiving a number of comments from parents on class dojo. Some comments we are able to respond to, some not. I am glad parents like the new house point system and seeing how we are rewarding your children and for what reasons. Please could I ask parents not to request information from teachers, for example: ParentPay passwords; these must be requested from the office.
Work in School
Walking around the school today, the quality of learning I have seen has been wonderful. Children are totally engaged with the activities been set by the teachers and some of these have been truly inspirational. It was lovely to see our Nursery pupils hard at work outside and the Reception cohort jumping from apparatus in PE. I also enjoyed reading some of the excellent writing in Year 1, Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6 this morning. Year 1 were busy being scientists with Mrs Fogarty, learning about teeth and which drinks to choose to protect their teeth. Year 2 were learning about the Christian story of creation in RE.
