Awesome Assembly

28.03.18

On 1st February 2014, James Ketchell became the first and only person to have rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, successfully summited Mount Everest and cycled 18,000 miles around the world.  Today, the children and staff of Key Stage 2 met James!  He lead a fantastic assembly about what inspired him to become 'Triathlon Man'. Please visit his web page http://jamesketchell.net/about-new/ to learn more about this incredible man who, through resilience and self- belief, has overcome lifechanging physical injuries.

Girls Football Match

Well done to the year 5/6 girls football team, who came away with a draw from their first ever match against Willows. They kept their heads together, even after going 1-0 down and thanks to a goal from Lacey, ended the match 1-1.

Space Invaders

Year 4 Inspiration Day
To Infinity and Beyond
Children and staff dressed up as aliens and Si Fi characters as part of the year 4 inspiration day for this term's unit of work on Space. In the afternoon they were visited by Chris Woodhouse who shared his outstandingly extensive knowledge of space and his space photography with the children.

Looking at Space

Year 1 and 2 Nativity  All of the children preformed superbly in both of the performances to parents.
Their voices could be heard loud and clear right from the back of the hall and their singing was enchanting.  Thank you to everyone for all their hard work over the last few weeks and thank you to all the parents/Grandparents/carers who took the time to make and provide the children with their amazing costumes.
